The Società Cooperativa Agricola La Sonnina was founded in 1999 thanks to the determination and passion of a group of members who decided to revive the historic estate of Genazzano, once abandoned and owned by the Diocese of Palestrina. Today, the cooperative manages the farm with a multifunctional approach, focusing on sustainability and inclusion.
Located in the heart of the Prenestini Mountains, a few kilometers from Rome and close to charming historic centers, the company extends over 26 hectares cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture. It offers hospitality in a renovated rural farmhouse, where you can taste typical dishes of the local and Roman tradition, prepared with the company's organic products, including meat, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil and wine.
In addition to agricultural production, La Sonnina is involved in social and educational activities, promoting work and social inclusion. Among the initiatives proposed are inclusion programs for minors and people with disabilities, as well as educational projects such as agriAsilo, agritata and educational farm.
The company is open all year round upon reservation.
